How to reach?

By foot
By foot

Ghent's Stadshal and Korenmarkt is right in the middle of the historic city centre, so it's perfectly accessible on foot. This is not only cosy and relaxing, it's also healthy.

Public transportation
Public transportation

Ghent is easy to reach by train from many towns and cities. The Ghent Dampoort station is within walking distance of the city centre. You will find all information and timetables on www.belgianrail.be.

De Lijn has an excellent offer to take you to the centre of Ghent. During Gent Smaakt all normal transport tickets, such as season tickets or a card of De Lijn, are still valid.  All information and timetables can be found on: www.delijn.be

By motorbike

If you are coming to Gent Smaakt by motorbike, you can find parking space in the following places: At Sint-Jacobs, Kammerstraat and Drabstraat.

By car
By car

We highly recommend you to use alternative transport options other than your car. This is for your own convenience and ecological purposes. Over the Ascension weekend, or any prolonged weekend for that matter, there is nearly always a traffic jam, where you lose a lot of time.
So you save time with other transport options, not having to worry about traffic jams, parking, car-free zones...

Park your car at a free park-and-ride (P+R) and continue by tram or bus to the Ghent city centre: www.delijn.be/nl/gemeenten/gemeente/gent#parking

There are bicycle sheds at every park-and-ride. In addition, a number of P+R car parks are equipped with Trapido share bikes.
